Ashoknagar Antaheen Kalakhetra conducted a Terracotta workshop on April 16th-17th, 2022, with the generous support of Rajya Charukala Parshad, Information & Cultural Department, Govt. of West Bengal. The workshop drew the participation of twenty-two young artists over the span of two days. Their enthusiastic engagement was entirely voluntary. Renowned painter and sculptor Atish Mukherjee served as the mentor for the workshop, and Debamitra Chowdhury provided valuable guidance.
The workshop provided a platform for these young artists to delve into the intricate world of Terracotta art. Participants received hands-on training and insights from Atish Mukherjee, who brought his expertise to the table. The creative exploration aimed to foster a deeper understanding of this traditional artistic medium.
In recognition of their efforts and newfound skills, participants received certificates from Ashoknagar Antaheen Kalakhetra. The workshop not only enriched the artists’ abilities but also contributed to the preservation and promotion of traditional art forms. The collaboration between Rajya Charukala Parshad and the Kalakhetra showcased the government’s commitment to nurturing artistic talents and cultural heritage.
