National Intimate Theatre Festival 2021

The National Intimate Theatre Festival of 2021 commenced on March 13-14, showcasing a diverse array of performances. Howrah Amta Parichay presented ‘Sabitribai Phule,’ directed by Suvendu Bhandari, while Gobardanga performed ‘Swapnochar’ under the direction of Mohd Selim. Abhinab Theatre from Assam brought ‘Kadwa Sach,’ directed by Dayalkrishna Nath, and ‘Ekla Lage Bhari,’ scripted and directed by Shramana Chowdhury, with guidance from Pritha Chowdhury and Susanta Basu. The festival opened with the participation of celebrated theatre activist Abanti Chakraborty.

This event, hosted on March 13-14, 2021, was a platform for intimate theatre expressions. Diverse troupes showcased their creative prowess, with performances encompassing themes ranging from societal issues to personal narratives. The festival was inaugurated by Abanti Chakraborty, a notable figure in the theatre realm.
