This led to the initiation of the ‘Reba Chowdhury Smarok Sommanona o Baktrita’ in her honor, a tradition that commenced in 2019 and takes place annually on the 16th of October, commemorating her passing. The awardees included Samrat Mukhopadhyay, celebrated for his contributions to journalism, Angshuman Bhomick, an esteemed theatre critic and practitioner, Joydeb Bala, a prominent figure in the realm of painting, Arunangshu Roy, an accomplished artist in his own right, Avik Bhattachrjee and Prantik Chowdhury, both renowned theatre activists, Dr. Manoj Ghosh, recognized for his exceptional social work, Anirban Sarkar, a distinguished theatre actor, and Dhanapoti Mondal, a dedicated theatre practitioner.
